doglio is a young brand from vienna. small, self-funded, no investors behind it — and built out of what was actually missing on walks through the 12th district.
the face of it is bella, a french bulldog. she tests nothing scientifically, but she notices immediately when a line sits wrong or a bowl wobbles.
why doglio exists
dog gear is a category made of small annoyances. the bag dispenser that jams when you need it. the leash with the carabiner that sticks. the bowl that slides across the floor. add garish colours, printed paw prints and product names with three exclamation marks.
we wanted the opposite: a few things you keep for a long time and that do not stand out in your living room. which is why the same line is on every package — less stuff. better stuff.
what that means day to day
we do not add a product just because it would sell. every piece has to solve a concrete friction, come in muted colours and carry no foreign logos. anything that misses those three points stays out of the range — even when the margin would work.
so the range stays deliberately narrow. four products, not thirty variants of everything.
the tools
anyone keeping a dog in vienna ends up looking for the same answers. what does the dog tax cost. does a leash or a muzzle apply here. is the park allowed. the answers sit scattered across legal texts and council pages, mostly in language nobody reads voluntarily.
so we built them: the dog tax calculator, which works out the annual charge including exemptions and the rates coming in 2027, and the leash and muzzle checker, which says in two clicks what applies on the pavement, in the park, in a dog zone and on public transport. both are in german, since they cover viennese law.
both are free, need no sign-up and work perfectly well for people who never buy anything from us. that is on purpose. we think it is a more honest way to be found than paying for ad space.
where the things come from
we do not manufacture ourselves and we do not claim to. the led poop bag dispenser is made to our order and sits in our warehouse in vienna — orders go out from there in one to three business days. the pet stairs, long line and bowl stand come from an eu partner warehouse, so four to ten business days accordingly.
which warehouse handles which item is stated on every product page. order from both and you get two parcels — at no extra cost.
who is behind it
doglio is a sole proprietorship based in vienna-meidling. one person answers the emails, packs the parcels and writes the text on this page. if something is not right, just write: doglio.equipment@gmail.com. a reply usually comes within one to two business days.
